Why Elle and Noah In The Cabin of Kisses Are So Problematic

A Kiss In The Booth 2

Most of the times, to the point of a romantic comedy is to make you fall in love with the protagonist and his chosen partner. If you do not feel connected to their love story, how the heck are you going to enjoy the movie?! When it comes to a kiss in the Booth of the franchise, both movies manage to make me like everything but the love story between its main characters, Elle (Joey King) and Noah (Jacob Elordi). In spite of the crazy that children are brought together by a classic combination of rom-com tropes, the first film of the installation of Noah’s character made it almost impossible for me to buy the idea that he is the most suitable for Elle. And the new version of Kissing Booth 2 made me realize that Elle is not the right one for him, either!

Prior to her “NoElle” senses completely offended by the idea that these two are not meant to be, listen to me. In the first film, no one is accused directly to Noah of the injustice, but that all of them allude to their evil genius, and has shown that resorting to physical violence often enough to have a reputation. I am sure that this serves to give them an advantage in the book and make him look just the right amount of dangerous to be attractive to the pure goodness that is Elle, but when we see it in live action is much more intimidating. It doesn’t help that we can continuously watch Noah to lose his temper — or seem on the verge of it. Lee (Joel Courtney) assumption that your brother has physically hurt Her then notices the bruises on his face that is the final nail in Noah’s coffin. All over the world, but Elle seems to be concerned about Noah’s temperament, and while it may seem romantic that she “sees another side to him,” in reality this is an excuse for ignoring some big red flags. At least, Noah would explain that he is seeing someone for his anger issues!

Way to make your boyfriend feel like shit for their insecurities, Elle!

Elle ignores all the red flags pointing toward Noah, the patience, and the two are officially together by the end of the first film. In the sequel, Noah is at the university of Harvard, and Elle decides that she is going to try and be mature girlfriend ignoring virtually all of their calls and text messages, and sporadically answering them monosyllabically. This is the first sign that She is terrible at this dating business; she doesn’t even tell Noah, that she is trying to give you space, she stops communicating with him! She continues in a similar way to the rest of the film: she never really talks to Noah about any of your feelings or concerns about their relationship, seemingly waiting to read his mind. And when she does confront him about his suspicions, she tells him that she began to suspect him because of his “past”. Noah tells Elle magazine that is not fair and you have all the reason. Elle came in their relationship, accepting whatever happened in the days of Noah past, and it is disgusting to use as justification for their distrust. Way to make your boyfriend feel like shit for their insecurities, Elle!

A Kiss In The Booth 2

Elle ends up cheating on Noah with a Frame (Taylor Zakhar Perez) — who deserved much better than to be caught up in your drama, I feel sorry to this man with a kiss on stage during their Dance Dance Revolution competition. And then, instead of recognizing that you made a mistake and deserves his anger, She lashes out at Noah’s obvious attempt to make her jealous by invitation of his friend Chloe (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) to the thanksgiving dinner. Nobody is right in this situation because Noah could have used the time to clean the air, but since Elle is the cheater here, which is even more evil than all the others.

Elle and Noah eventually, with his apology to Frame, and to admit that despite the fact that she felt something between the two of them, he is not “the one”. But let’s be realistic, this is too clean an ending for everything that went down! Throughout the film, neither Elle nor Noah felt comfortable enough to have a serious discussion with each other about their feelings or their situation; Noah could not talk to her about feeling out of your depth in the school or why it came so close to Chloe, and Elle couldn’t trust him about his fidelity. In the center of it all, Elle is quick to believe that Noah is cheating, because she believes that he is able to do that to her — that is not a stable foundation for a relationship at all.

Of course, this is a film where the whole world goes terribly stupid mistakes and never talks with others about anything, because then the movie would be too fast, but in this case, there is no need for that! Elle had enough distractions with the Lee/Rachel drama, and the Frame is too handsome for his own good. The fact that she thought her boyfriend was a cheat and end up cheating on him, however, is only the icing in the upper part of the “Team of Noah and Elle will Just have to Go our Separate Ways” of the cake.
