Regis Philbin has died at the age of 88, The people confirmed on the 25th of July. “We are deeply saddened to share that our beloved Regis Philbin died last night of natural causes, one month before her 89 birthday,” his family told the outlet in a press release. “His family and friends are eternally grateful for the time that we got to spend with him – his warmth, his legendary sense of humor, and his unique ability to make each day something worth talking about. Thank you to their fans and admirers for their incredible support during his 60-year career and ask for privacy as we mourn his loss.”
Regis was known for his appearances on television and hosting prowess in the sample, including Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee from 1988 to 2001, Live! with Regis and Kelly from 2001 to 2011, and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? from 1999 to 2002. She is survived by her daughters J. J. and Joanna — who shared with his wife, Joy, as well as his daughter Amy — who shared with his first wife Catherine Faylen.
