Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph have called it quits after a year together. Friday, The Bachelor’s Degree In the couple announced their separation on Instagram. “First of all, I want to say that this is one of the most difficult things that I had to share, since neither one of us is quite ready to talk about it yet. However, because our relationship is of a public nature, our silence on the matter has been talking to us,” Cassie wrote next to an Instagram album with photos of her and Colton. “Colton and I have broken up, but have decided to be a part of the lives of others. With everything we have lived, we have a special bond that will always be there. I love Colton so much and having an enormous amount of respect for him. We’ve both learned and grown a lot these past couple of years, and will always have each other. Always.”
“Sometimes people are just meant to be friends – and that is good.”
Colton expressed similar sentiments in his post, writing, “it has been a crazy few months to say the least, Cass and I have been doing a lot of self-reflection. Sometimes people are just meant to be friends – and that is good. We have both grown immensely and for a lot of things together – so this is not the end of our story, is the beginning of a whole new chapter for us.”
Colton and Cassie found love in the season 23 The Bachelor’s Degree In, although not engaged as most couples do on the show. In March of 2019, Colton officially confirmed their relationship status in Jimmy Kimmel Live!, saying that they were “with confidence bride and groom.” See Colton’s post below.
