Clare Crawley season The Bachelorette it start filming after its postponement amid concerns coronavirusaccording to The Hollywood Reporter. On June 26, the outlet reported that the series will begin production “soon” in a private complex in the South of California where Clara and the contestants are quarantined together. The cast and crew are also going to spend the entire season living on the site, in the place and will be tested prior to arrival. Checkups and tests will continue throughout the filming.
On March 13, Warner Bros Television Group confirmed for the first time, the season of delay in a statement to Entertainment Tonightsaying: “With the rapid evolution of the events related to COVID-19, and of an abundance of caution, Warner Bros Television Group is to stop the production on some of our 70+ tv series and pilots currently filming or about to start. There have been No confirmed cases of COVID-19 in any of our productions, but the health and safety of our employees, casts and crews remains our top priority. During this time, we will continue to follow the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control as well as local officials and public health professionals in every city where our productions are based.”
Hours after the announcement, Crawley took to Instagram to share their thoughts. “Well, hello! Speaking of the most dramatic season ever!”, she wrote. “In all seriousness, Everyone’s health is the most important priority at this time, and as I’m sure you’ve heard, we are pressing pause for now in the filming of The Bachelorette. 🌹 We are taking day-to-day and even hour to hour as this is so unpredictable. All I know for sure is that my heart is so full of all the love and support at this time, and I am still so excited for my trip to start! I have waited 38 years for these moments, which is a little bit longer, right! 😉❤️xoxo.”
Two days prior to the extension, of The Bachelorette host Chris Harrison spoke about COVID-19 the effect in the showsaying ET, “We’re not going to be doing the elaborate all around the world on tour, because you simply can’t for now. So, we’re going to stay obviously around the united States, and closer to home, when we go on the set. There are huge amounts of hand-washing stations. We’re going to have a part of a trailer where we’re going to have a doctor. You can check out. Therefore, there are a lot of precautions that should be taken.”
In April of follow-up, gave ET a update on the The Bachelorette‘s schedule change. “It’s crushing us right now,” said Harrison. “We know that this too shall pass, and there are more problems and bigger fish to fry, but we would really like that we were doing an incredible show with Clare. I mean, that would be more than half way done [with filming by this point]and Clare could be reduced to find the love of your life. How exciting — and I hate that it’s stolen from her in this particular time.”
Harrison then shared their hopes for the shoot again, teasing the resumption of summer. “Maybe we take care of everything this summer, but if things do not go as planned with this virus and with this quarantine, maybe we’re not going to have time to do it all,” he added. “So we have to think, ‘OK, what’s our priority?’ It is trying to create any content in the meantime, and then we’re going to get The Bachelorette. In this time of quarantine, I’ll never say never to anything new. Is unprecedented. We have never dealt with this, is our time — as all is torn. We had a calendar. It is completely in the shredder.”
