Watch Barack Obama Graduate Together Graduation Speech

Congratulations, class of 2020! On Saturday, Barack Obama honor of the high school in all parts during the Graduate Together ceremony. The former president appeared on screen to congratulate students for their achievements and offer some words of encouragement. “Do not be afraid,” he said. “The united states has gone through hard times before . . . and each time, we came out stronger, usually due to a new generation of young people like you, to learn from the mistakes of the past and figure out how to make things better.” Then he gave the students another piece of advice by adding, “Do what you think is right.” And in truth, Barack fashion, ended on a poignant note, saying the honorees to build a community, to defend the rights of another, and continue in him and Michelle proud.

The virtual meeting — which was organized by a coalition of partners, including The LeBron James Family Foundation — was held in place of the traditional graduation parties in the middle of coronavirus concerns.
