See The Lion King Cast of Disney’s Sympathetic Performance

If there are philosophies that could go down right about now, it would have to be Hakuna Matata. Luckily, we’re about to get an update on the problem-free motto, thanks to volume two of Disney Family Friendly! The special airs Sunday, and fans will get to see a couple of cast members, 2019, the action in vivo of The Lion King come together to sing the classic feel-good jam, “Hakuna Matata.” We can not promise that it will be no worries for the rest of your days, but we can assume that you’ll love the performance!

ABC dropped a sneak peek of the performance to get fans excited for the upcoming special, and it is as adorable as we expected. The film breakout voice actors Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner as Pumbaa and Timon, respectively, were joined by Donald Glover, and Walter Russell III, who played Simba in the different ages. (JD McCrary voiced young Simba in the film, while Russell played him in the Broadway musical.) Their voices blend as the softer the butter, and if you don’t think this song will be stuck in your head for days after, you’re just fooling yourself! To see the preview of the previous, and are prepared to see the whole thing, as well as other performances by artists such as Keke Palmer, Katy Perry, and more when the Disney Family Friendly: Volume Two aires the 10 of May.
