When Normal People actors Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal visited The Late Late Show With James Corden on Wednesday night, had been expected to discuss their character with the graphics of the chemical. What you probably didn’t expect was to be forced to re-create that chemistry in place . . . through the representation of a scene from Gordon Ramsay on an episode of Hell’s Kitchen. Or Guy Fieri to describe in great detail — a dish of cabbage.
But once more, the Daisy and Paul showed that they really are the queen and king of the screen of the passion. They kept their cool while talking about an intricate food involving cabbage and didn’t crack once during their interpretation of a Home Shopping Network advertising. But it was Gordon Ramsay screaming about crab that really broke them, especially Paul, and, frankly, to me especially, too.
