The news is not too much of a surprise, since leading man Tom Ellis formally signed a “potential” of the sixth season of the deal in May, after several months of permanence. So it is safe to assume that the long-awaited fifth season had ended with the possibility of a return in mind. There will be No unresolved cliffhangers in our future!
The series was revived by Netflix in June 2018, after being cancelled by Fox. The Fans began #SaveLucifer campaign that resulted in a 10-episode fourth season, premiering on Netflix in May of 2019. It was soon renewed for your fifth season, after the premiere, which was later revealed to be a two-parter. The season was 10 episodes to 16, with the first eight due to the premiere of August. 21, and the second half of fall at present without prior notice of the date. The last eight episodes are set to fans for the official the end of the season, which as of now has no release date. Given that the majority of the productions have been delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, it is safe to say that the work in the season six will be very far away. Even so, we can firmly count this as a victory for the “Lucifans!”
