Mädchen Amick in What is Going to Happen in Riverdale Season 5

Riverdale it is one of the many productions experiencing indefinite delays due to the coronavirus outbreak. In March, the show had to stop filming in the middle of their current season, leading to the court of three chapters of the delivery and make the episode 19 of the official of the end. Despite the alteration of the outcome was not planned, it now has a new value, because that will be the network debut as director of Mädchen Amick, also known as Alice Cooper.

Amick, who told POPSUGAR that lead Riverdale‘s finale “gave me a new appreciation” for the show, has also been kept in the loop when it comes to the fifth season of the whimsical planning. Between the unpredictability of the self-isolation of the guidelines and the outputs of Skeet Ulrich (F. P. Jones) and Marisol Nichols (Hermione Lodge), a bit is in the air, and we have questions. Fortunately, we have to talk to Amick about the future of Riverdale, what could be in store for Alice and F. P. of romance, and, of course, the Barchie vs Bughead debate.

POPSUGAR: Obviously, with the production in the Riverdale stop, the schedule has changed. How will the fifth season?

“Roberto never close the door to any character. A lot of times, joking that if he dies in Riverdalein reality they are the guarantee of more screen time”.

Mädchen Amick: I don’t know, and I don’t know if they know yet. Everything is in the air. Definitely cut the fourth season short. We were supposed to do 22 episodes, and 19 will be our end. So we will be short of three episodes. I know that Roberto [Aguirre-Sacasa] had the prom and graduation scheduled for the end of season four, which I am now assuming that it moves forward to season five. I don’t really know what that comes with, or how they fit the stories and arcs. It depends on when the self-isolation and quarantine things elevators and when we will be able to be back together as cast and crew. By nature, we are like the worst example because we work closely together a lot of months of the year. We’re going to have to do what is safe for the health of all and adjust. You could say that we have to start filming a little later.

PS: Skeet Ulrich, and Marisol Nichols are leaving the show, which are two major outputs. Falice carriers are especially going to miss seeing Alice and F. P. together.

MA: Ugh, I know!

PS: How do you feel about your outputs? I’m sure that must be a sweet-sour taste.

MA: I’m definitely going to lose. I think that Roberto has a jump on the expected time between season four and season five. I think he talked about that. I know that the changes of the frames a bit, so it must have been something that was planned those trips happening. But I love Skeet and Marisol a lot, and I know that they are both going to continue to have amazing careers. They have already had very long, successful career, but I know that I have adventures to go, and I’m going to have fun. But I am absolutely going to lose.

PS: there are ideas floating around about how Alice and F. P. of the story wrap you?

MA: I know that Roberto is never to close the door to any character. A lot of times, joking that if he dies in Riverdalein reality they are the guarantee of more screen time. He loves to bring characters back. Even if a history of changes and something changes, he just loves reviewing the characters, and I know that he really, really likes Skeet and Marisol. He expressed to me that he hopes that their characters will continue to return, depending on their availability. With that said, I hope that none of your characters die, even though it could mean that we see more of them. I just hope that something will bring you back to the city, and we’re going to be able to review their characters and view them in the future — that type of open-ended story. But, gosh, poor Alice. I’m going to go back to being selfish by Alice. She has been through so much, and now, somehow, she will lose F. P. in any way. It’s like, whew!, the poor.

PS: I know! It’s funny because I’m Team Falice, but I’m also Team Bughead. Is that weird, taking into account the family element?

MA: [Laughs] It is certainly complicated, but there is no blood relationship between Betty and Jughead, so that helps.

PS: by the Way! This season, the set Bughead vs Barchie debate really picked up steam. Do you have a particular stance on that?

MA: Personally, no. But I think it is fun to see the love quadrangle — I would say that “love triangle”, but it is involving the four of them. But I think that Alice is more of a Bughead fan of a Barchie fan because she made it pretty clear in season one that she didn’t want Betty and Archie together. She likes Archie, but it was complicated because it reminded her of the appointment that I had with Fred, Archie, the father back in his adolescence. Was bringing a lot of open wounds, so I think that, in Alice’s view, she understands the Bughead relationship more, and all Barchie situation hits a little too close to home. His heart was broken by Fred, so that she did not want her baby, her heart broken by Archie.
