Kate McKinnon Pays Tribute to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on SNL: "Rest in Power"

Saturday Night Live returned to New York City’s Studio 8H for the premiere of season 46 on Oct. 3, and the show made sure to pay tribute to the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. At the end of Colin Jost and Michael Che’s “Weekend Update,” cameras panned to the audience and showed Kate McKinnon sitting in the front row dressed as Ginsburg, complete with her signature glasses and a black robe. McKinnon — who famously played Ginsburg on the show — put her right hand on her chest and bowed her head. A “rest in power” graphic then appeared on the screen. Ginsburg died at age 87 from pancreatic cancer on Sept. 18, but her memory will never be forgotten.
