Kacey Musgraves and husband Ruston Kelly have separated after two years of marriage. On Friday, the stars of country music, both 31 years old, announced that filed for divorce sharing a joint declaration with the Associated Press. “We have made this painful decision together — a healthy decision that comes after a very long period of trying the best we can,” the statement read. “This simply does not work. Although they are parting ways in the marriage, we will remain true friends for the rest of our lives. We don’t have the guilt, anger, or contempt for the other and we ask for privacy and positive wishes for us both as we learn how to navigate through this.”
Kacey and Ruston first started to come out in early 2016 and are pledged on the Eve of Christmas in Kacey’s childhood home at the end of that year. In October of 2017, who tied the knot in forest wedding in Tennessee and have shared a handful of public appearances since then.
