After sparking romance rumors back in April, the pair made their first public appearance as a couple at the singer’s Fourth of July rooftop party in LA. Rita and Taika rocked matching colorful ensembles and flashed sweet smiles as they posed for pictures together at the star-studded bash, which also brought out Anya Taylor-Joy, Jodie Turner-Smith, Joshua Jackson, and Ashley Benson.
Rumors of a romance between the 30-year-old singer and the 45-year-old director first began swirling in April when Rita posted a photo album on Instagram, which included a snap of Taika with his arms around her. “Good times, memories, random things on my phone and the ones I love..❤️ #midweekupdate,” she casually captioned it. The following month, the two were spotted packing on the PDA at a party with Tessa Thompson, and they’ve appeared to be going strong ever since.
