Idina Menzel and Ben Platt took us on a magic carpet ride during the Disney Family Friendly on Sunday. For the special, the experienced Broadway stars gave a special edition “A New World” of Aladdin. The duo are no strangers to Disney melodies. While Menzel is the voice behind Elsa from Frozen, Platt has been known to the band a couple of songs from time to time. Recently has made a “Take Two” of In the Forest with Beanie Feldstein Stephen Sondheim’s 90th birthday celebration.
The second installment of the Disney special helped raise money for Feeding America, and includes a handful of other incredible performances of stars like Chloe x Halle, Anika Noni Rose, Halsey, Shakira, and Josh Gad. See Menzel & Platt’s performance over the top.
