Netflix is Darkan interesting science fiction series that has been tagged with an unfair comparison to Strange Things, weaves a complex, time-traveling mystery throughout its 10-episode of the first season. The show opens in 2019, and introduces a large group of characters, only to begin a series of flashbacks to two other time periods: 1953 and 1986. That means that while you are trying to solve the mystery of where when Mikkel Nielsen disappeared, the character set is only expanding and becoming more confusing.
In season 2, things get more complicated, as the show adds two or more periods of time — 1921 and 2053 — more iterations of some of the main characters, and a new, mysterious detective from out of town who can help to answer some of our questions, most important of season 1 (and which they may be more connected with the centre of the city than we are initially led to believe).
If you have trouble keeping track of the 1921, 1953, 1986, 2019, and 2053 versions of each player, you’re definitely not the only one. When preparing for the third season on the 27th of June, we went ahead and made a handy guide to who (and when) throughout the world is, for the characters that exist in various periods of time. But be warned, this gallery becomes more of a spoiler and the displacement.
