Roddy Ricch open until Sunday virtual 2020 BET Awards with a timely performance that paid tribute to the ongoing Black Lives Matter movement, and the on stage visuals made it look like a music video to life. Ricch kicked off the show with a piano performance of his hit “High Fashion”, followed by a simulation — set to his song “The Box” — what is for him as a Black man to be arrested by the police. Ricch, who wore a Black Lives Matter shirt during the show, he continued the song in front of blue-tinted video projections of his hometown, Compton, CA, adding a personal touch to the already impressive performance.
