Annie Murphy Choked on Bacon After the Nomination for the Emmy Award

In case you have not heard of the splendiferous news, Schitt’s Creek he has been nominated for a whopping 15 (!!!) Of the Emmy awards this year, and Annie Murphy had a bit of a Alexis de la Rosa moment when he learned of the good news. “I was sitting on the ground eating pancakes, and I had just finished choking on a large piece of bacon,” Annie explained in a recent interview with Vulture when describing her reaction to being nominated for outstanding supporting Actress in a comedy series. “The bacon suffocation was post-to find out; it was a reactionary sigh.”

Annie was perfectly fine after the bacon incident, and explained that the designation of caught her by surprise, because she put a lot of love and hard work into the show over the years. “I’m very grateful to have been a show and played a character who was all about love and kindness and inclusion,” he said. “By the end of it all, at least, Alexis was all of those things. Especially in these times, those are incredibly important things that people are looking for. I’ll never stop being grateful for that.”

Despite the feeling of the induction of the news of his nomination, the Schitt’s Creek star not throwing any Alexis inspired rangers or flee at any royal yacht to celebrate any time soon. In fact, she plans to spend the night of the Emmys ceremony in the house, keepin’ it 100 percent of Alexis. “There will be pizza and pajamas,” Annie insisted. “That’s going to be the extent of my plans. I’ll put that out in the open today. It is my natural state anyway, so that is what I’m looking forward to. Did I mention the pizza? . . . It’s all very wonderful and exciting. Wow, I think that there are mimosas on the horizon. It is all over . . . a lot. But a wonderful lot.”
