Why Booksmart Is the Best of the Film era

You can’t deny the bittersweet taste of nostalgia that accompanies the arrival of the era of the movies — and Booksmart it is not the exception. A stellar without filter of the high school comedy full of witty dialogue, Booksmart follows academic overachievers, Molly (Beanie Feldstein) and her best friend Amy (Kaitlyn Dever), as they show the world that you can be smart and funny. Having spent their high school careers working away in the library in order to be accepted in prestigious universities, their understanding of the world, is soon shattered when they learn that their less studious, the feast of the classmates accepted me in the same big-name universities. And so, on the eve of her graduation, Molly, and Amy decide to cram all that was lost in an unforgettable night.

It is true that, Booksmart is up against some of the largest era of the cinema of all — time Lady Bird, The Edge of Seventeen, The Breakfast Club, Love, Simonand so many more. However, time after time, I am drawn back to Booksmart. There is something about this electric debut that makes me want to watch it again and again, despite the painful reminder of my own awkward transition from childhood to adulthood. Here are nine reasons why Booksmart it is the largest of the era of the film.
