Netflix is very affectionate The Witcher. Not only the streamer, the end of the second season of the series for a full month ahead of its debut, but now is planning a spin-off of the series! On the 27th of July, Netflix announced plans for a prequel of the series, The Witcher: Blood Of Origin. According to Deadline, the six-part limited series is going to tell the story of the first Witcher1,200 years before the Henry Cavill-led series takes place. Located in one of the elven world, The Blood Of Origin follow the events that lead to the fundamental “conjunction of the spheres,” when the world of monsters, men and elves become one.
1200 years before Geralt of Rivia, the world of monsters, men and elves were merged into one, and the first the Witcher came to be.

The writer of the original The Witcher book of the series, Andrzej Sapkowski, will serve as creative consultant on the prequel of the series with Declan de Barra, a season of a writer The Witcher acts as executive producer and showrunner, and Lauren Schmidt Hissrich as executive producer, similar to his role as executive producer and showrunner in The Witcher.
“As a fan of the whole life of the fantasy, I am beyond excited to tell the story The Witcher: Blood Of Origin“the Bar said in a statement. “A question that has been burning in my mind since I read it for the first time The Witcher books: What was the world of the elves of reality, as prior to the catastrophic arrival of humans? I’ve always been fascinated by the rise and fall of civilizations, such as the science, discovery and culture flourish just before he falls.”
Hissrich added: “I’m so excited to be working with Declan and the team at Netflix The Witcher: Blood Of Origin. It’s an exciting challenge to explore and expand The Witcher the universe created by Andrzej Sapkowski, and we can’t wait to introduce fans to new characters and an original story that will enrich our magical, mythical world even more.”
This is the second The Witcher sequel announced; in January, Netflix revealed that an animated spin-off of the film is that in the work entitled The Witcher: the Nightmare of the Wolf. That will focus on the origin of the story of Geralt of his mentor and companion of the Witcher, Vesemir.
