Tiffany Haddish is having a hard time, the comedy of the strength she usually is. This week, she sat down for a virtual appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, where she spoke about the pain she’s feeling and what it was like to attend George Floyd memorial service in Minneapolis. “It has been very difficult for me to express any type of joy or bring any type of happiness because I am, literally, sit and watch the world fall to pieces,” he said. “And it is necessary that it falls apart. Things have to fall apart and put back together again in a way that is fair.”
Tiffany explained that after being invited to the service, she wanted to attend, not only for George, but for all the people in your life that have been lost through the years. “Being there was like being there for all my friends whose funeral I went to, for all my friends that died, to all the people that went to school with that have been locked up for any reason, because they simply can’t afford a good lawyer or accused of things not to do,” she said.
“All the tears that I cry were coming out.”
As many of you saw the eulogies of the commemoration, Tiffany said that the emotions were overwhelming, and everyone in the room felt them. “I cried a lot,” he said. “It was tears not only for Floyd but for all those people who died. All the tears that I cry were coming out . . . the amount of pain that I felt was enormous.”
