When the trailer opens with “Clair de Lune” you know you’re in for a roller coaster of emotions, and Netflix‘s Away it is no different. “The only thing that I know for sure in my life, is that I wanted to be on the first mission to Mars,” astronaut ” and ” Emma Green (Hilary Swank) points out with pride as his family (Josh Charles and Talitha Bateman) looks on. The next series invokes Interstellar the vibes, but as of now it seems that there is nothing extravagant science-fictiony about it.
The series, set in the near future, follows Emma and her team of astronauts work to complete your mission; all the while their families back home are facing obstacles of their own. As the show is executive produced by Jason Katmis, the creator of Friday Night Lights and Paternityyou can expect to feel all the emotions possible in the 10 episodes of drama. I mean, watching the trailer alone I went from joy at seeing Emma in the rocket to despair when Matt (Josh Charles) ends up in the hospital with the hope of hearing the astronauts talk about working together. Needless to say, I’m anxiously waiting for the premiere in September. 4.
