As part of the Girl Until 2020 leadership Summit on July 13, the former First Lady, Michelle Obama shared a special message on behalf of the The Girls The Opportunity Of The Alliance. The organization is an Obama program of the Foundation and seeks to empower adolescent girls around the world through education. In her speech, Michelle touched on the abrupt changes of girls around the world face in association with their education and praised for showing “incredible resilience in difficult circumstances.”
He then went on to talk about how the crisis as “domestic violence, child marriage and teen pregnancy, economic hardship, [and] the care responsibilities within families,” only worsen these situations. “We can’t let these girls be forgotten during this crisis.
