Dua Lipa’s The Future Of Nostalgia it is without a doubt one of the albums of the summer. While we’re still bopping along to “don’t Start Now” and “break your Heart”, the talented singer said another banger on our radar on Friday with an animated music video for their pop-disco song “Hallucinate.”
The video is basically a Disney cartoon about psychedelic drugs — and we don’t get tired. Follows a Betty Boop-looking Dua Lipa dancing and singing on stage about what seems to be vintage, Mickey Mouse, inspired in the illustrations. Then, she inhales a hallucinogenic flower and is transported to another dimension, a dimension of love. The chorus explains how to Dua lover makes her feel out of this world, as is losing his mind, but in the best way possible. “I hallucinate when you call my name. I have stars in my eyes. And they do not fade away when you come my way. I’m losing my m-m-m-mind,” Dua Lipa sings in the chorus of his next favorite song.
