Vanessa Morgan shared some happy news with fans on Friday, July 24: she is expecting her first child with her husband, professional baseball player Michael Kopech! The 28-year-old Riverdale the actress shared photos from their gender reveal celebration on Instagram and revealed that she discovered she was pregnant, May 20.
“I was debating to keep this part of my life hidden, but I knew that people were going to see pictures of, eventually, with my belly & I wanted you to hear from me,” she wrote. “I want to keep this chapter of my private life but do you want to be the first to share the news. I am very pleased to welcome my baby into the world this month of January 💙 It’s almost like everything that I thought mattered in this life has completely changed. We are here for a greater purpose and life is so precious.”
Vanessa continued, addressing her unborn child: “I can’t believe how much growth and strength that I have already been given as your mom. It’s like God knew that I needed to, my angel. The universe works in mysterious ways, but always at times everything the way it was meant to be. Lil one that was made with much love and already gives off a light so strong that warms my belly. Thank you God for this blessing ☺️ I’m so happy and can’t wait to spend every day to be the best mom I can be 💙 ‘I’ll love you forever I’ll like you forever as long as I’m living my baby you’ll be 🎶’ – if you know that you know #preggers 🤰🏽 👶🏼.”
Vanessa tied the knot with Michael in January during an intimate ceremony in Florida. Several Riverdale the stars were in attendance, including Madelaine Petsch, Skeet Ulrich, and drew Tanner, along with their family members and close friends. Congratulations to the growing family!
