Unfiltered Review of The Kissing Booth 2

I’ve always been a big fan of ridiculous romantic comedies, either mind-numbingly saccharine, over-the-top silly, or just a hot mess. But once more, The Cabin Of Kisses takes the cake when it comes to hot messes. The sequel is a definite step up from the first film of someone who, obviously, took note of what the fans did not like it and stopped using any excuse to strip Joey King down to his underwear. But, instead of applying those notes to the most important issues, such as Elle (King) and Noah (Jacob Elordi) of the relationship, reinforced many of the behaviors and issues that made the first film such a hard pill to swallow.

There are moments of brilliance between our favorite duo, Elle and Lee (Joel Courtney), that make me wonder why not just give in and date each other. It would save everyone else the headache of trying to separate them because that’s not happening any time soon. And though he was low-key wasted, Taylor Zakhar Perez makes his mark as a Framework, the guitar-slinging, Spanish-remix song new guy who becomes Elle’s head just when he begins to lose faith in her relationship with Noah.

Despite the many ways A Kiss In The Booth 2 it made me sigh gustily in exasperation, I with excitement looked at it and I’ll probably do the same thing when Netflix gives the people what they want and to make a third film. So in light of that, I’m going to share my 100 percent unfiltered thoughts about the major plot points (and holes). Grab a great nevada and take a seat, it’s going to be a walk.
