There will be a Season 2 of Hulu’s Love, Victor?

Hulu has just released the season one of Love, Victor on the 17th of June, and people are already asking for more. Although there’s not been any official word from Hulu, showrunner Brian Tanen said Gay Times the show writers are already thinking about the future. “Right now, there are writers in the room of the call, we are working on the first episodes of the second season,” he said. “Obviously, with coronavirus, and everything that is happening right now, we’re a little up in the air as to when this might go back into production, but we are working hard to come up with new stories for the show and we are very optimistic for the future.”

Throughout the first season, we see Victor (Michael Cimino) the struggle to find out who you really are and whether or not his family will accept him. During his birthday party, we finally get to see Victor standing by your friends (and potentially yourself) and your right to be who they want to be. It sounds as if your family then it would be the acceptance of their sexuality, however in the end of the episode it is clear that his father still has reservations. For him, it’s okay to be gay, as long as not their children.

In the season finale, Victor comes out as gay to his family, apparently ruins of his relationship with Mia (Rachel Naomi Hilson), and, potentially, start something new with Benji (George Sear). Then the show ends. We didn’t get to see the consequences of Victor of the great revelation, nor will we get to see how it affects those around him. Well, besides his best friend Felix (Anthony Turpel) the acceptance of god for all that he is and Mia find solace in the arms of Andrew (Mason Gooding).

A second season would allow us to spend more time with the characters we have come to love. Victor finally begin to live your life as your true self, without hiding anything of those around him. Felix and the Lake (Bebe Wood) would take things to the next step, instead of being a secret couple. Andrew growth the first season was going to continue, going of a stereotype of an athlete are you a great friend. And we would like to see the Mia link with his future stepmother, explore your future with Andrew, and see if I could fix his friendship with Victor. The list of what we could see in a second season could really go on forever, so I hope that Hulu gives us what we want, so we don’t have to keep imagining what could have been.
