The Voice: Blake Shelton "Finally" Heard a Battle Performance That Deserved a Standing Ovation

Despite The Voice performers being a group of ultra-talented singers, not every performance gets a standing ovation from the judges. Nick Jonas, John Legend, Blake Shelton, and temporary team leader, Kelsea Ballerini, don’t get out of their seats for just anybody, but Rachel Mac and Bradley Sinclair’s cover of Elton John’s “Your Song” had them jumping out of their seats. Even Shelton was shouting, “Finally! Finally! A standing ovation!” at the end.

Jonas had a tough decision ahead of him when choosing between Mac and Sinclair for his team moving forward, especially since Legend said both singers sounded “perfect” during the performance. Ballerini advised Jonas to choose Sinclair but Shelton left Mac with more to think about when he compared the 16-year-old to Jonas’s experience as a teenager in the industry. We don’t envy picking who gets to stay! Watch the full performance above and decide who you think Jonas should’ve chosen for yourself.
