If you’ve seen the second season of The Sale Of The Sunsetthen you are probably as confused as the rest of The Oppenheim Group about how Christine Quinn met her current husband, Christian Richard — or who the heck he even is. While the The Sale Of The Sunset ladies had a lot of theories about the retired tech millionaire, Christine set the record during a May 2020 interview with Bustle. According To Christine, met Christian through mutual friends just a month after production wrapped in The Sale Of The Sunset the first season, which premiered on Netflix in March 2019. Although little more is known about their romance, here is what we know about Christine’s mysterious boo.
- Prior to retirement, Christian was a great genius of the technology. “Christian is great in the world of technology,” Christine revealed during the The Sale Of The Sunset the second season premiere. “He went to MIT, and he is a software engineer and has worked for several companies, several projects of development.”
- Christian initially was on a date with Christine friend before hitting the reality-TV star. As Christine explained Nylon in May of 2020, “One of my best friends went on a date with this guy, but it was not in him. She was like, ‘He is not for me, he is actually very intellectual, he is talking about the economy and Bitcoin.’ I was like, ‘Well, I’m going to meet him!'”
- When Christian and Christine first started dating, he I didn’t even know his new girlfriend is set to star in a Netflix-style reality show. “When I met him, he thought I was only in the real estate sector,” Christine told Refinery29 in May of 2020. “The show comes out and I’m super quiet because I have low expectations, and we’re traveling.” However, when the show became a big success, Christian realized that Christine was a kind of great thing. “In Tokyo, the Bahamas, the people began to say, ‘Oh my God, I love you. I love your show,” Christine added.
- In the first place, Christian was reluctant to appear on camera, but Christine finally convinced him. “After we got back to THE [after traveling]we have picked up for one more season, and I asked him, ‘do you want to be in it?’ He said, ‘Oh, my god, this is so not me,'” Christine said during his Refinery29 interview. “He is very, very shy, but I decided to do it for me. He is in the show a bit and, bless his heart, he tries, but [filming] it is really awkward thing. Not organic in any way. It is not the reality in any way.”
- As he travels the world, Christian popped the question on Valentine’s Day by the year 2019, as Christine revealed The people in April of 2020. At their engagement party, which was included in a season two episode (and probably took place at some time in the summer of 2019), Christian said to his future wife, “Christine, I met you at Beverly Hills is not even a year ago, and I totally fell head over heels in love with you. We went to dinner, she wore a red dress, and we hit it off in the car. We had instant jokes, that is really special that not too often. I kept with it, and it will be very difficult to catch. But here we are now.”
- Not long after that the couple began to leave, Christian surprised Christine with an elaborate gift: a nearly 6,000 square feet of the mansion with four bedrooms and six bathrooms in the Hollywood Hills. “It’s a funny story because we were traveling in Switzerland and in this house came on the market that was so beautiful and so impressive. I was like, ‘We have to go see this house! Just had a huge price reduction, what is going on!'” Christine explained Nylon. “We went back to see him, and walked until I realized that it was a house that had the list in years.” Later, in a season two episode of The Sale Of The SunsetSaid Christine of the house”, I sat at that open house every Sunday, and that the image of myself sitting in the house, get a cup of coffee with my husband, and I now live in the house that I had envisioned myself living.”
- In The Dec. 15, 2019, Christian and Christine tied the knot in a gothic-winter-wonderland themed wedding in a cathedral in the center of THE front of 75 people. “I have waited to share the details of our special day, until now,” said Christine The people during his April 2020 interview, almost four months after the big day. “We wanted to get married in December to start the New Year [as husband and wife]. And a winter wonderland theme with an evil twist is memorable for always.” Luckily, fans will be able to see the big day for themselves in The Sale Of The Sunset the season three.
