While the actual 2020 of the Eurovision Song contest may have been cancelled due to COVID-19, it doesn’t feel like we have lost a lot thanks to Netflix the Eurovision Song contest: The Story of the Fire of the Saga, which was released on the 26th of June. Thanks to a series of cameos of real Eurovision stars, the “song-a-long” that occurs during the middle of the movie really embodies what makes the Eurovision Song contest great: the music.
It is clear how the song-a-long is a shot that the featured singers are important, however, to an audience not familiar with Eurovision — as only the countries that are part of the European Broadcasting Union can participate — that come across as a group of fabulous yet unknown talent. However, each of these singers is a winner or a fan favorite of previous competitions. It is not surprising that tapped Swedish singer Erik Mjönes and former Junior Eurovision Song Contest winner Molly Sandén for the singing of the voices of Alejandro Lemtov and Sigrit Ericksdottir. If you’re wondering who these singers are and how they sound outside of a party that occurs in one of Alexander’s “top five favorites” of the households, you can see their Eurovision performances ahead.
