Summer may be coming to a close, but Selena Gomez and Blackpink aren’t letting it go without one last hit! The “Past Life” singer has teamed up with the South Korean girl group for a collaboration sure to melt our eardrums with sweet, pop-filled bliss. Titled “Ice Cream,” the song and music video are slated to premiere on Friday, Aug. 28, and the superstars have been dropping hints all over their social media about what fans have to look forward to.
All the released promotions for the single are giving us retro ice cream parlor glam, and the short video teaser affirms the concept. With the bright colors, Gomez’s retro bathing suit, and the cutesy ice cream truck, it’s clear “Ice Cream” is going to take after its namesake and be a refreshing bit of fun for the whole family.
And the fans aren’t the only ones feeling excited! “Selpink” released a video call between the former Wizards of Waverly Place star and Blackpink, in which the group admitted they’ve “been a big fan of [Gomez] for a long time.”
