See Kate Hudson to Reunite With Almost Famous Cast | Video

Gather around, all that gold, the gods and goddesses — it is time to take a trip back to 1973, er, I mean, of 2000 to celebrate Almost Famous. On Tuesday, the cast of the cult-classic film meet virtually to talk about the project 20 years later, and oh man, the nostalgia. Kate Hudson (Penny Lane), Billy Crudup (Russell Hammond), and Patrick Fugit (William Miller) sat down with director Cameron Crowe for Rolling Stone to talk about the iconic “Tiny Dancer” bus scene, of their deceased castmate Philip Seymour Hoffman, and the challenge of portraying a rock star when you can’t sing IRL. Penny Lane you might consider this group “too sweet for rock ‘n’ roll”, but we’d like to say they’re just sweet enough. Watch his conversation with Sources podcast hosts Brian Hiatt and James Andrew Miller up, and get ready to reminisce about the “cool” of the day.
