During a time when it can be difficult to maintain a positive attitude, Andrew Scott (also known as the Hot Priest Fleabag) recorded a video of himself, reading a hope poem, and I have a confession to make: I have seen eight times. The video that was uploaded to Emilia Clarke Instagram page on Monday — shows Andrew’s reading of “everything Will Be All right” by Derek Mahon in front of a whitewashed brick wall as the light of the sun illuminates her pretty face. “Andrew has been asked to dedicate this to Men Against Cancer Irish. Andrew we salute you!” Emilia subtitled the video, because Andrew did not use social media.

Andrew’s soothing Scottish accent and captivating acting skills make sense of the reading exactly what I needed to hear today, while the video itself has me feeling heart emoji after emoji of heart. Roll up the shirt sleeves of his soft shirt of fine linen, the pushed-back hair, the way she plays delicately with the fine chain around her neck, and her captivating smile will make it almost impossible for me to look away. So please enjoy the complete poetry reading by itself ahead of it, and remember to take a couple of deep breaths along the way.
