Zelda Williams is honoring the father of Robin Williams’s legacy on what would have been his 69 birthday. On the 21st of July, the actress and director took to Twitter to announce that she was donating $69.69 to “as many shelters for homeless persons as [she] can” to celebrate their dad, almost six years after his death. “Join me if you want, but no matter, I know that I’m looking forward to all of the less abundant immature-the laugh on Dad today,” she continued.
Zelda twitter screenshots of their donation receipts of organizations, including the los Angeles LGBT Center, GLIDE, and the Union Rescue Mission. The Fans also joined the donation in the late actor’s honor, and thanked Zelda for both a thoughtful and fun idea, as Robin brought joy to so many people through his sense of humor.
In August. 11, 2014, Robin died at the age of 63 after battling severe depression. Shortly after his death, Zelda shared a sweet message about his father. “I love you. I miss you.
