Those who work on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic is going to take center stage in a new docuseries. On the 8th of May, Amazon Prime Video premiered Regular Heroesa child of eight special episode highlighting how many people from all over the country — from the health workers of the grocery stores employees and emergency personnel — are supporting their communities in the right now.
The debut episode was directed by Alicia Keys, who recently released a song dedicated to workers in essential services. The singer introduces viewers to Trevor Henry, a high inventory of specialists at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York; Burnell, Colton, a grocery-store owner in New Orleans; and Athena Hayley, the founder of the Love My Neighbor Foundation, services to the homeless population in Los Angeles.
In a press release, Keys described the series as “so pure and true.” She added, “I am happy to know that this series does not only give support, but also put a face to the amazing people like Trevor, Burnell, and Hayley. They are the ones who will applaud us for every night at 7 pm in New York. These are the Heroes.”
