Nickayla, then spoke about his struggle of coping with Naya to death before ending on a hopeful note. “I’ve never known a life without you in it and I still can’t imagine it,” she wrote. “My world is upside down. But through it all, everything that we were, we are still. I’ll always look with the same eyes that I did when I was young. My shmaya, I’ll love you for all eternity & I miss you every second of my life.”
The praise came in the same day Naya’s ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey, broke his silence in an Instagram tribute. The married couple from 2014 to 2018, and shared 4 years of age, son, Josey. “Life is not fair,” Ryan wrote. “I don’t know what to say…I am grateful for our time and our journey that brought us together and gave us the most sweet and caring child, very smart that we could expect”.
