Eurovision fans, get ready. Netflix is the release of a hilarious new movie, Eurovision Song contest: The Story of the Fire of the Saga. Starring Demi Lovato, Dan Stevens, Rachel McAdams, Will Ferrell, and Pierce Brosnan, Eurovision follows three aspiring musicians who will stop at nothing for the opportunity to launch the career of a lifetime.

Demi Lovato will star as Katiana, otherwise known as “one of the best and most angelic singers in all of Iceland,” and Dan Stevens will play Alexander Lemtov, a Russian contestant. Katiana and Alexander will be facing off against the fiercely competitive Icelandic duo of Lars Erickssong and Sigrit Ericksdottir, played by Ferrell and McAdams. Lars, the father of Erick Erickssong, is played by Brosnan, who is also regarded as “the most handsome man in Iceland.” With a title like that, and a son in the battle of the most iconic eurovision song contest in history, we expect some hilariously stressful comedic moments, contestant of sabotage, and a nail-biting, but the expected result. The film is directed by David Dobkin, who previously worked in Wedding Weddingand produced by Will Ferrell. Can’t wait!

If you are new to the Eurovision the fandom is the biggest song competition in the world, which began in Switzerland in the year 1956. Previous winners have been Canadian vocalist and 2019 fashion icon Celine Dion and wanted to group pop Swedish ABBA. The Eurovision Song Contest held annually in May, with the 2019 winner Duncan Laurence from The Netherlands.
