My New Meditation? Listening to Tom Grennan's Cover of "Ocean Eyes"

Hi, can we please take a minute to discuss the absolute delight that is Tom Grennan’s cover of Billie Eilish’s “Ocean Eyes?” Grennan stopped by Phil Taggart’s Chillest Show on BBC Radio 1 to perform his stripped-back version of the song, and wow. Grennan’s raspy voice with the soft piano accompaniment is a total match made in heaven and a stunning take on the beautiful original song.

Fans were quick to show their love for the cover. “How is your voice gonna do that raspy stuff like woah 馃槏 gives the song a whole other vibe and I’m here for it 馃憣馃徎” one commenter wrote. Another person kept it short but sweet: “One of the best covers.” The cover comes after Grennan announced the release of his second studio album, Evering Road, which will be out March 2021.

So, do yourself a favor: go make yourself a cup of tea and take three minutes to listen to this absolute dream of a cover. Our only wish? That the song was longer.
