Minari's Yuh-Jung Youn Jokingly Thanks "Snobbish" British People in BAFTAs Speech

Minari‘s Yuh-Jung Youn keeps raking in awards. On April 11, Youn won the supporting actress BAFTA for her role as Soonja, and her acceptance speech might be one of the most memorable from this awards season. She told viewers that “every award is meaningful” but this accomplishment is especially important because she was “recognized by British people” who she joked are “very snobbish people.” “They approve of me as a good actor,” she said, as presenter David Oyelowo burst out laughing. “I’m very, very grateful.” Youn is up for another award in a couple of weeks at the Oscars. Fingers crossed we get to hear another hilariously endearing speech from her soon.
