Congratulations to the class of 2020! On Friday, the stars gathered in a virtual graduation ceremony on Facebook Watch, which included a special performance by Miley Cyrus. The singer performed his hit song “The Climb”, but not before sharing some words of encouragement for the graduating students.
“Keep the faith, keep moving forward, keep climbing.”
“Hello to all the graduates out there. I am truly honored to celebrate each and every one of you from high school and university students last year and all they have accomplished,” Miley said. “As I was thinking about you, the class of 2020, and how you inspire me, I knew that I wanted to share this song with you. Feels full of a new meaning. Keep the faith, keep moving forward, keep climbing.”
The graduation special was hosted by Mindy Kaling and B. J. Novak, and also included the participation of Cardi B, Simone Bill, Awkwafina, Sterling K. Brown, John Mayer, Kristen Bell, Matthew McConaughey, Oprah Winfrey, and Selena Gomez. Watch Miley’s beautiful performance at the 52:39 mark above.
