Maya Rudolph can make the bags to the Studio 8H once again, now that the Senator Kamala Harris is officially the Joe Biden selection as vice president. The actress portrayed the California political Saturday Night Live the last year, and ended up getting an Emmy nomination for his place of work. On Tuesday, Rudolph shared her first reaction to the breaking VP news Entertainment Weeklythat was, basically, “Oh sh*t”.
“That is spicy” and “ruh-roh”, were also a pair of Rudolph knee-jerk reactions before returning to SNL for repeat printing. “I love going to the fair or any other excuse I can get . . . I just didn’t really anticipate traveling during this pandemic, but if there is someone that can work I’m sure Lorne [Michaels] has some kind of invisible helicopter that can get me there,” he joked. “Since I was a child, really, I wanted to be in any type of SCTV, Saturday Night Liveand I can’t believe I got to work there, and I can’t believe that my family still. I’m so happy that I have to go again. It is my favorite place to play.”
Our fingers crossed for Rudolph (and the rest of the SNL the crew) to find a safe way to bring the program back in time for the election season, so we can see the hilarity of the TELEVISION. Although the rumors were swirling around a return to the study in the near future, we’d happily settle for another home or two episodes. Regardless, when Rudolph acts as the Harris it again, we’re going to be watching.
