John Boyega gives a last call to the protestors who gathered in London on Wednesday. Speaking into a megaphone, the British-Nigerian actor, known for his portrayal of Finn in the Star Wars franchise, demanded justice before emotionally honor of George Floyd and other victims of police brutality.

“Now is the time. No he’s waiting for me.”

“Black lives have always mattered. We have always been important. We’ve always wanted to say something. We have always been successful regardless,” he said to the thousands of people gathered in Hyde Park. “And now is the time. No he’s waiting for me.” He then addressed those who are opposed to the protest: “I need you to understand. I need you to understand how painful this sh*t is. I need to understand how painful it is to remember every day that his career means nothing.” At this point, John began to cry as a companion of the protesters placed a comforting hand on his back.

In another moment, John added: “we are going to discuss today. We are a physical representation of our support for George Floyd. We are a physical representation in our support to Sandra Sosa. We are a physical representation of our support for Trayvon Martin. We are a physical representation of our support for Stephen Lawrence. For Mark Duggan.”
