Six years have passed since the USA Network Psych went off the air, but the friendship between the show’s stars James Roday and Dulé Hill is as strong as ever. In fact, it is sometimes difficult to know where James and Dulé end and their characters Shawn Spencer and Burton Guster begin. This is evident by his witty banter in nearly ever interview they’ve done together. Through the years, the actors have formed a strong bond, with Dulé often calls James his “brother” on social networks and James being a groomsman in Dulé and Jazmyn Simon’s 2018 wedding.
As to why your friendship like Shawn and Gus is so credible, Dulé said, The Futon Critic, “we vibe very well off of the camera and that helps with the chemistry on the screen, in that we both like to have a good time, jokes, and sing songs of the ’80s, and that helps us . . . to keep things in tune on the screen.” With the launch of Psych 2: Lassie Come Home in the peacock on July 15, that he could not help but remember some of the duo’s best moments through the years ahead.
