Somebody call Snoop Dogg, because Idina Menzel is here singing up a storm of good vibes. As part of Houseparty On the weekend Housethe group video chat application that is hosted about a dozen celebrities from Alicia Keys and John Legend Snoop Dogg and Katy Perry. Idina Menzel also made an appearance in the family tree house for god to bless us with this rousing version of “Tomorrow” from the classic musical Annieand her a cappella skills are ridiculously good.
The song has a special place in Menzel of the heart, since that has been one of his favorite songs since I was a little girl. Menzel said that she used to try to emulate Andrea McArdle, the original Broadway vocalist of the song, when it would be done by itself, but his singing teacher once advised him to “start trying to be like Idina” in its place. The council has already stuck with her, and it is without a doubt paid.
Menzel then went on to sing “Let It Go” Frozen and he shared some of the original Elsa sketches of the Frozen and Frozen II. Watch their fascinating performances here.
