HBO Max launched on the 27th of May, and is already pulling out the big wands. WarnerMedia of the streaming service wine in line with 10,000 hours of movies and TELEVISION programs, including all eight Harry Potter movies. So if someone staying at home is with the hope of taking advantage of the magic of the wizarding world, all you need is a current HBO subscription or $15 per month to sign up for HBO Max.
The investment was costly to WarnerMedia, who had to buy back its claim on all of J. K. Rowling’s magical world of the movies — including the two Fantastic beasts and Where to find them movies — after Universal nabbed the exclusive rights in a 2016 bid. Kevin Reilly, HBO’s Max’s content chief, told Business Insider that taking back the franchise rights he was “high on our list of priorities” and that there is “an active commitment around that discussion.” It seems that he said the magic word and Harry Potter the fans are reaping the benefits!
