H. E. R. the Powerful Song “I can’t Breathe”, Available for the Flow of

Last week, H. E. R. debuted “I can not Breathe”, a powerful new track written in the wake of the recent senseless deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor in the hands of the brutality of the police. She gave a moving performance during an iHeartRadio concert Hall, and on the day of the emancipation, the singer is officially releasing the single in purchasing and streaming platforms.

In reference to the last words spoken by George Floyd as he was killed by a police officer, “I can not Breathe” features a painful but necessary lyrics of the melancholic melody of H. E. R. on the guitar. As the “I used to Know Her” singer explained in the introduction of the song, the world needs unity now, and she hoped the song would provide the cure for all the world.

“These letters were kind of easy to write because it comes from a conversation of what is happening now, what has been happening, and the change that we need to see,” H. E. R. said before their performance. “I believe that music is powerful when it comes to change, and when it comes to healing, and that is why I wrote this song, to make a mark in history.” Check out their emotional performance below, starting at around two minutes — it’s worth soaking in every word.
