Like the film that came before it, A Kiss In The Booth 2 it is an exciting roller coaster ride through the emotional turmoil of high school besties Elle (King) and Lee (Joel Courtney). Picking up where the first movie ends, the sequel follows the two as they tackle their last year, and its much more complicated love life. No, this is not the kind of rom-com, where the best friends realize that you really belong together (although maybe I should be); instead, fans are left at the edge of their seats wondering whether Elle and the brother of Lee, Noah (Jacob Elordi) are going to survive that wild beast is known as a long-distance relationship. Well, take a deep breath, the people pulled through! But it is definitely not a smooth ride.
When we come back into the action, Elle has decided that the best way to be a non-clingy girlfriend is “to give Noah some space.” Unfortunately, their version of space is ignoring your calls and text messages, back monosyllabically. When Noah confronts her about it — resorting to call the school, because she will not return your messages — Elle realizes that she has been alienating her boyfriend in an attempt to be mature and the two plan to be more communicative with one another. Elle learns more about the life of Noah, in the university, which introduces you to the presence of magnificent pairs Chloe (Maisie Richardson-Sellers). Elle jealousy and insecurity makes her suspect that your boyfriend is cheating on her, which prompts her to begin to pull him once more.
Enter Framework (Taylor Zakhar Perez), a transfer student who is hot enough that even Elle can’t resist the list of its many virtues-physical over the intercom (by accident). The two naturally fall into each of the other orbits in the school, but it is not until Lee convinces Marco to help Elle with a Dance Dance Revolution contest to help pay his tuition at the university that the sparks fly. Framework is just cocky enough to remember that of Noah, but his playful nature and gentle charm are almost the antithesis of the age of the child more dark personality. It is easy to see why Elle-drawn Framework in the absence of Noah, especially when she feels unsure about the latter, fidelity, because of their past.
It all comes to a head during the big Dance Dance Revolution contest, Noah’s secret serves as a member of the audience. Elle and Marco perform their routine to perfection, and in a moment of euphoria, Elle kisses Framework. The movement is reminiscent of a previous scene where Marco almost kissed Her but pulled back when she got scared. This time, Elle makes the move and is full of joy, until the stains of Noah in the crowd. The oldest son is heartbroken, and the couple lashes out at the one to the other during the next day of thanksgiving dinner with their families.
After an emotional reunion that makes not will take place in the kissing booth or at the airport, Elle, and Noah make up before he returns to school. When they return to school, Elle confesses to Marco, who despite the fact that she felt something between the two of them, he is not “the one”. Under the wistful gaze towards Elle in his graduation tells us that things are not so cut and dry between them, but we can’t be too sure until Netflix gives us the third movie!
In the end, despite the fact that she made with Lee and things are going perfectly between her and Noah, Elle is the Flynns and tells them that she was the waiting list, both at the university of Harvard and Berkeley. Of course, she was accepted and now has to decide between going to Berkeley with his best friend, his mother’s alma mater, as had been planned for years, or go to Harvard to be with her boyfriend. Ah, to be young and in love again!
