Dwayne Johnson Calls Trump Black Lives Matter Video

Dwayne Johnson apparently called President Donald Trump in a powerful Instagram video on Wednesday night. In the eight minutes in the clip, the 48-year-old actor and father of three children, called for a “leader ” compassionate” to step in and unite our country in the midst of the protests happening around the country and the world following the death of George Floyd.

“Where is our leader in this time when our country is down on its knees, begging, pleading, hurt, angry, frustrated, in pain, begging and pleading with their arms, that just want to be heard?” Dwayne started the video without specifying the name of the president. “Where are you from? Because this is what happens when you extend a hand and reaching out to Americans who are in pain and are with you. Here’s what happens: the whole country and rises as well.”

Dwayne also appeared to make reference to how the former President Barack Obama has been using his platform to treat the pain of the nation and offers a sense of hope to Americans. “That is the same compassionate leader who has to go back and retake the country that provide an important context for giving important perspective on the comment that was just made,” he said. “At this time, we have to say the words “Black lives matter.'”

“We see you, we thank you, we love you.”

The actor concluded the video by expressing his gratitude to all those who struggle against racial injustice and calling for change. “I want to take a moment to thank the world for standing with us in our fight for equality — to standardize equality. I want to thank all these countries around the world, amazing, inspiring, beautiful displays of solidarity. And I want you to know something . . . I don’t think for a second that we don’t see it. You see. See you, thank you, we love you,” he said. “As we continue to wait for the leader to leave, I recommend it to all that we must become the leaders we are looking for. We become our own leaders, because we are doing what we are doing now. We must become the leaders we are looking for.”

George was killed in Minneapolis on May 25 when police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck to pin him down for almost nine minutes, though, as he said he could not breathe. Four days later, the officer was arrested and charged with third-degree murder, and on Wednesday, the charges were increased to second-degree murder and three other officers involved were indicted.
