Dua Lipa Shows Her Soulful Side With a Beautiful Cover of Arlo Parks's "Eugene"

Dua Lipa’s latest Live Lounge cover has us patiently awaiting a Lipa and Arlo Parks collaboration, and for good reason. The British-Kosovar singer took to BBC Radio 1’s studio on 19 April to perform a hauntingly beautiful cover of Parks’s popular track “Eugene.” The cover saw Lipa showing off her soulful side with a pared-back rendition of the track featuring two backing singers. Along with “Eugene,” Lipa also performed a moody version of “Hallucinate” and a stripped-back version of her latest single, “We’re Good.”

Following the performance, the singer shared a sweet thank-you message on Twitter that read, “thank you @BBCR1 and @claraamfo for having us!!! You can now watch these all in full on youtube!!!! Thank youuuu to my band and backing vocalists who truly brought the magic // musical direction by @williambowerman.”

When sharing her Parks cover on Twitter, Lipa admitted that she’s “such a fan of this young lady and her magical voice,” and we must agree. Both versions of the song are truly magical, but we have to admit that we loved seeing this softer side to Lipa and hearing a different musical arrangement.
