David Ayer, Suicide Squad Director, Jared Leto’s ‘Heartbreaking’ in Receiving Joker Fans

Joker fans and specifically Suicide Squad know that Jared Leto’s painting of the iconic villain was not a hit for everyone. The reaction to Jared’s version of the Joker was loved by some and hated by others, especially because of the way hip-hop elements were introduced to the character.
Regardless of the body of interest of the role, film director David Eyre recently said he felt bad for Jared. David claimed that his “heartbreak” was Jared Leto for a number of reasons, especially given how Joker’s character was used as a marketing tactic, despite the fact that he was rarely featured in the film.
After the initial impression, many fans were unhappy with Jared’s initial appearance of the character. Even when Jared was first announced as the film’s actor, some people on the network doubted it.
As mentioned above, one of the biggest problems with Joker in the Suicide Squad was the fact that he barely got screen time. After the movie came out, even Jared himself said he felt disappointed and “cheated” to join the movie that turned out to be something completely different.
Jared appeared on the suicide roster for only seven minutes, though, there are more sections of him in the extended Blu-ray cut and even more in the safe somewhere. However, it does not like these sections to see the light of day anytime soon.
To make matters worse for Leto, Joaquin Phoenix then went on to submit one of the best performances of his career as a joker in Todd Phillips’ movie, Joker. He even secured an Academy Award for the portrayal of the villain.

What is sure to create characters is a tightrope. I was inspired by DC’s current comics. I am amazing that this is still such a topic 5 years later. My heart broke to Jared – he did a magnificent job. Most of it remains invisible. https://t.co/IRj7vB1ZjG

Furthermore, if the media reports are true, Jared allegedly tried to prevent Warner Brothers from releasing Todd Phillips’ movie because he wanted his own independent film through the Joker character.

It seems that it will never come to fruition, but regardless, Jared has scored a role in another Marvel movie expected to be out next year.
