Coldplay Are Back, and Their BRIT Awards Performance Proves It

During this year’s BRIT Awards on Tuesday, Coldplay opened the show by performing for the first time since 2020, and it was truly epic. The band performed on what can only be described as a floating stage on the River Thames, which is directly outside the O2 arena. The performance featured a colorful rendition of their latest single, “Higher Power,” and was made complete with impressive holograms and bright fireworks, and . . . you know, the floating down the Thames part.

Other performers of the night included the likes of Arlo Parks, BRIT’s rising star Griff, The Weeknd, Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, Headie One, Olly Alexander, and Elton John, plus a special performance by Rag ‘n’ Bone Man and P!nk, featuring the NHS Greenwich choir.
