BTS had a night of firsts during the 2020 MTV VMAs on Sunday. Besides the TV debut of their first English-language single “Dynamite,” their appearance marked their first-ever VMAs performance. The K-pop group did not disappoint, wearing some absolutely stunning vintage-inspired suits, looking straight out of an episode of Gossip Girl as they danced against a backdrop of the Brooklyn Bridge. The track, whose vintage-themed music video premiered Aug. 28, is full of pop culture references and lyrics that you can’t help but sing along to — my personal favorite being “I’m diamond, you know I glow.”

Their performance wasn’t the only highlight of the night. The group had four nominations, winning all, including best pop and best choreography for “ON,” best group, and best K-pop — the latter two of which they won in both 2019 and 2020. One thing is for sure: BTS certainly knows how to put on a show. Could I watch a thousand hours of their performance? Probably. Watch their full performance above.
